Robin Carus, CSA has been a Casting Director for 23 years. She has cast everything from iconic commercials to the groundbreaking theatre to independent films and television. Currently, she is casting the film The Devil’s App and working with the international women’s organization, Hadassah, on their Power of Purpose speaker’s event. She cast Chicken & Biscuits at Queen’s Theatre, the hit family show, Pip’s Island, the award-winning film Green Flake and an episode of Great Performances’ Now Hear This (PBS), and the ever-popular seasonal event Broadway in the Berkshires.

She also cast the podcasts of Julius Caesar, The Tempest, and Richard II for Shakespeare@ and Closing The Distance available where all podcasts are streamed. Robin won the Webby, Telly, Hermes, Davey Awards for her contribution to Project Sing Out!  In this time of pandemic and global activism for change, she cast virtual benefits and fundraising events for Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, Fair Fight and the Warnock/Ossoff campaigns in Georgia, the Hudson Guild, the New Works Virtual Festival for the Actors Fund, the World Union For Progressive Judaism, and Hadassah International.

For almost 10 years she was the Casting Director for TheatreworksUSA, America’s oldest and largest theatre for family audiences, where she solely cast over 200 national tours and countless works in development, as well as, their Off-Broadway series at the Lucille Lortel Theatre – including the revival of Seussical. She also went on to cast tours of the theatre for young audience shows Polka Dots: The Cool Kids Musical, Mad Libs Live!, The Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure, The Cat in the Hat, Miss Nelson Is Missing, and Clifford The Big Red Dog.

Robin has taught workshops and masterclasses around the country. She is currently an Adjunct Lecturer for the Department of Theatre and Speech at The City College of New York (CCNY) and one of the founding instructors at AM Arts Online.
